Welcome to term 2!

We hope everyone has had a refreshing Easter break and are settling in to the new school term. The weather is cooling down, the leaves are changing colour and we are settling in to our new clinic space very nicely. If you haven’t seen our new space, come and say hello!

Welcome back Kate!

Our wonderful AHA Kate is back from maternity leave and we couldn’t be happier!

If you don’t already know her, Kate joined our team in 2023 whilst working towards her masters of occupational therapy at Flinders University. Extensive experience working in local childcare and OSHC settings has given Kate a keen interest in paediatric OT. Kate is excited to be back working on Wednesdays supporting old and new families.

Some Housekeeping…

OT Assessment reports/Functional Capacity Reports:

Emily and Courtney are currently working as  hard as they can to get everyone’s assessment reports completed in a timely matter. Reports take a fair bit of time and energy as we want to be as thorough and accurate as possible. If you haven’t yet received your report, please know it is on its way and you will receive it via email. If you require further clarification or discussion regarding anything in your child’s report, Emily and Courtney are more than happy to have a chat with you. Thank you everyone for your patience and understanding! 🙂

Cancellations:

We understand that life happens! However, if you do need to cancel your child’s OT appointment we would appreciate as much notice as possible. If your child will not be at school for their appointemnt, or have an excursion, swimming, camp etc. it would be amazing if you could please let us know in advance.

Late cancellations or failing to turn up to your appointment without letting us know may incur a fee. Due to our growing waitlist, multiple consecutive late cancellations or no-shows may mean that you are unable to keep your spot. We are a small business which costs money! We need to stay afloat so that we can continue to provide our services to families in the community. If your scheduled appointment time isn’t working for you or you are otherwise struggling to attend regular appointments, please let us know. We are here to help and want to do everything in our power to make things easier for you.

UPCOMING: Adelaide Hills social skills group

“What’s the buzz” is an amazing research-backed social and emotional skills workshop by Kate Exener in the Adelaide Hills. We think this could be a great experience if your child needs extra support in the areas of social and emotional skills development. Kate encourages you to register your interest, even if you can’t make the below dates.
